圣经嘱咐我们，要因我们一切所有的感恩和知足。我们的家庭、健康、能与所爱的人一同进餐，还有生命本身，都是从主而来的宝贵恩赐。可惜，不满足、贪婪，或恐惧妨碍了我们，以致我们不能全心感激和珍惜主所赐的宝贵生命。我们不知道明天会如何，或许我们会经历恶劣的困境，然而身为神的儿女，我们信得过祂必会继续爱护和看顾我们，神是我的帮助。

Peter made a promise to Jesus: "Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you." Yet later that night Peter "wept bitterly" because he had denied three times that he knew Jesus, who had now been arrested. How could Peter be a loyal friend at one moment and then disown Jesus the next? If we are honest, we have to admit that we could have done the same. Peter was probably afraid that he could be arrested and sentenced with Jesus. In fact, all of Jesus' disciples deserted him that night. Alone outside at dawn, Peter wept bitterly, having broken his relationship with Jesus. But thankfully Peter's relationship with Jesus did not end there. After his death and resurrection, Jesus forgave and restored Peter to serve him more boldly than before

Jesus called the man in this parable a fool because he was not thankful for the harvest he received. Instead the man was more concerned about his lack of storage space. He thought that as long as he had possessions, he had it made.But do riches guarantee security and a happy life? By not being rich toward God, the rich man was in the worst kind of poverty. He was a fool.Jesus tells us to invest wisely. Jesus says, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." We must live for God first, trusting in him absolutely. We must throw away our worries and seek God first, rather than ourselves.
